Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams

This is, by far, my least favorite episode in this entire series - the network executives who see the success of "Ghosts" over on CBS are trying to get this to work on ABC. And yes, they are solely responsible for making it trite - they should NOT be giving the writers of this show "notes", as they obviously are - they tried a show called "Not Dead Yet", and yes, i noticed that it starred Gina Rodriguez, who now has a new character in "Will Trent" - that show FAILED - HEY ABC EXECUTIVES : JUST LET IT GO ALREADY - stop trying to ruin other good shows with pointless gimmicks.

Its much less of a collaborative effort to solve serious and complicated crimes. It has changed into mishmash of lessor sub plots where the principles have very little to do with each other and are all doing their own thing. Also, the personal lives of the main characters seem to occupying's a larger and larger percentage of air time. I think that the creator has lost control of the show and the actors are exercising more control over the storylines and the network is catering to them by doing some very awkward balancing acts.

My favourite shows get better and better as the season progresses, this one seems to be going the other direction.

When the plot, or some other element of the show bothers me, I take a break from it. This particular episode took me 6 efforts to finish watching it.

Getting to see each of the main character move one, find more peace in their lives and enjoy solving two completely different murders was just heartwarming. I loved the ghostly aspect and I see how that's absolutely something Will would do, if you don't like/understand it, you don't get him.

My only criticism would be that Gina Rodriguez's character seems to have moved on from her PTSD too quickly... But maybe it will make a return?
