The film is completed and unreleased.
The film was initially to star Jackie Shroff , Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. Bhagyashree walked out of the film when Padmalaya Films refused to cast her husband Himalay in the film. Later Juhi Chawla exited the film due to date issues.
The film was a remake of a Telegu hit film. The same Telegu film was remade as Baharon Ki Manzil in 1991.
The songs were quite popular on Doordarshan.
Due to the film having the same story as Baharon ki manzil (1991) which was a miserable flop distributors backed out of Naya Saawan. Film was scheduled to release all over in September 1991 and to date has never released.
