Days after Netflix fired Kevin Spacey from “House of Cards” and canceled an upcoming Louis C.K. standup special, both disgraced stars can still be found on the streaming service.

Five pre-existing Louis C.K. comedy specials, including this spring’s “Louis C.K. 2017,” continue to live on the site, available for viewing.

Meanwhile, four projects still pop up when searching for Spacey’s name, including “House of Cards” and the documentary “Now: In the Wings on a World Stage,” a behind the scenes look at Spacey starring in the Bridge Project production of “Richard III.”

That’s not to say that the streaming service isn’t taking a hit: Netflix scrapped plans to release the Spacey starrer “Gore,” a Gore Vidal biopic that had already finished shooting. And it may have to start over on Season 6 of “House of Cards,” with Robin Wright now as star, even though that show had already been shooting.

Double trouble here! Tribeca premiered the documentary Now: In the Wings on a World Stage, which follows the cast of Richard III as they debut their performance worldwide. After the film’s premiere, the cast of the play and film joined Charlie Rose onstage for an exclusive Q&A about the making of the film as well as the challenges they faced as part of the play.

The stage tour mixed American and British actors, and essentially presents talking head interviews and exposition of the stagecraft necessary to produce the complex work. Now: In the Wings on a World Stage, a new documentary from executive producer Kevin Spacey about his world tour of Richard III with nearly 20 actors for 200 sold-out performances, actually has a very apt subtitle, since viewers of this doc remain in the wings for the entire runtime, away from much of the stage action and the creative journey of its stars.

Now relies heavily on context and easy quotes from Spacey and Sam Mendes (who directed the play) – both Oscar-winners for their first collaboration, American Beauty – to introduce audiences to what draws these men best known for cinema to the theatre. Mendes was the brainchild of The Bridge Project, a trans-Atlantic company that brought actors from the New York and London theatre scene together. Its final production in 2012 was Richard III, with Spacey in the title role as one of Shakespeare’s most gleefully corrupt misanthropes.

Taking in all the action at the Tribeca Film Festival, Robin Wright and Kevin Spacey posed for a few photos together at the premiere party for “Now: In The Wings On A World Stage” last night (April 21).

The “House of Cards” duo mixed and mingled with the guests packed into New York City’s The General.

As for the film, it follows 20 British and American actors, including Spacey, along their 10 month international tour of Shakespeare’s “Richard III.”

The documentary is set for limited release on May 2.
