Giving it a 10 out of pity, lol

The first episode was a complete letdown. As a longtime fan of the light novel and manhwa, I was heartbroken. It didn't just miss the mark-it felt like it wasn't even trying. The emotion, the little details that make the journey feel meaningful, were all stripped away. Instead of bringing the story to life, the episode felt rushed and soulless, like they were just going through the motions.

Honestly, I don't believe for a second that the director is a true fan. If he really loved the source material, how could he allow this to happen? It feels like he never even read it. This adaptation isn't going to introduce new fans to the masterpiece we know-it's going to push them away. The characters, especially Art, were completely butchered. In the manhwa and LN, he had depth, presence, and a certain charisma. Here? He's barely a shadow of what he should be.

This anime should have been something special, something that truly captured the magic of the original story. Instead, it feels hollow. If this is how they're handling it, I'm honestly scared to see what's coming next.

      People are overreacting.

I think this episode is definitely not the best animated for a show that is so beloved but it is also covering the most slow part of the series where Arthur our main character monologues over basically every sequence. But i will also say it is not the worst. It is decent and i believe thats a good sign since this is the weakest part of the story and the most non crucial to have a crazy adaptation animation wise. I genuinely think the music choice was stellar and the way it looks overall in terms of adaptation it seems to have the heart that is necessary. Im only rating this episode a 10 because i think the review bombs are actually a little much. I would say its more around a 7.5/10. Give this anime and animation some time because i do believe it will get better.

anime studios A-Cat have minimal experience

It is very unfortunate that the best manhwa is adapted by a studio with minimal experience. In fact, there are many good anime studios, for example WIT Studio, which has a lot of experience and I think it is suitable to adapt TBATE as a reference for the Moonrise Anime, which has epic graphics and extraordinary character movements. Behind it is WIT Studio. Although the director of A-Cat Studio has read the TBATE manhwa, it is very unfortunate why the action scenes are like using power point? Even though now there is a lot of sophisticated technology, it is really sad. I hope the next episode will be better!

      Missed Potential

The Beginning After the End is an anime with immense potential but falls short in execution. While the story itself offers an intriguing blend of reincarnation, magic, and adventure, the animation studio's work does not do it justice. The visuals, though competent, lack the polish and fluidity one might expect from a series with such an engaging premise. The fight scenes, which should be a highlight, feel lackluster compared to its counterpart, Solo Leveling. The latter set a high bar for action-packed anime with breathtaking animation and choreography, making The Beginning After the End seem comparatively underwhelming.

The pacing also feels uneven at times, which makes it difficult to immerse oneself fully in the world. Had it received the same level of investment in production as Solo Leveling, The Beginning After the End could have easily rivaled it in terms of visual appeal and storytelling. Here's hoping for a future improvement if it gets a second season.

      Give it time

The WEBTOON and Novel are some of the best I've ever read. The story that develops later down the line is gripping and the action scenes don't disappoint. The studio behind the anime adaptation isn't a huge studio so yes the anime isn't going to be as well made as some of the other big name adaptations but I beg people just give it chance and you won't regret it. The worst thing that could happen is this show gets cancelled and we don't get to see the amazing story come to life.

Leaving the negative behind a believe this is a good first episode and will only get better. As a reader I already love the characters on the screen and believe they will be developed as well as they have in the novel and WEBTOON the next few episodes will be very telling.
