Cut Off

Excellent movie, just wish they'd "cut off" the movie before the last 3 minutes.

Wow, this film is so intense that makes me completely focused on it. The twists and turns are numerous, and I have to rewatch some parts to follow it. It is an outstanding crime thriller!

"Cut Above" is a rather complex thriller from Germany, that's more than a little gruesome.

Indeed, what defines this thriller aside from its clever if peverse story, is the gore factor. Expect rather troubling and in some cases downright sadistic scenes, topped off by a "cutting look" at what a pathologists does for a living.

The setting for this thriller works, its cold and dark to match the subject matter. Acting is solid but I really wish they had replaced English voice overs with subs. You tend to loose a lot of the nuisnaces of emotion, when the actors voices are replaced with rather saccerine, scripted alternatives.

All in all this is a decent watch. That said, it may have you wincing and reaching for a vomit bag, if you are not possessed of a strong constitution.

You have been warned. 8/10.

Very stable and solid exciting thriller movie with a decent amount of brutality which is shown in a very graphic way. Some nice twists, a good portion of humor, good choice of german actors imho, Just a very solid and reliable 7 I would say, nothing really special or outstanding though that would make it a 8 or higher.
