My Hands Got Sweaty Just Watching
Girl Climber is an absolute ride. IMAX makes you feel like you're strapped to the cliff with Emily Harrington-except you're safe with snacks in hand. It's funny how tense my palms got watching her hang thousands of feet up while I couldn't even hang onto my soda. Inspiring, breathtaking, and surprisingly relatable for a movie about climbing walls I'd never dare to touch.
Well crafted movie
I'm a mother of a girl, and we have merely dabbled in gym climbing but we both loved this movie. This documentary is excellent:
Cinematography - 10 - unobtrusive and masterful documentary filming and editing;
Nature photography - 10 - breathtaking views and images that inspire;
Adventure sports drama - 10 - delivers;
Personal drama and nuanced, relatable storytelling - 10 - yes.
The Glassberg and Young do a fantastic job of crafting a vehicle for Harrington's experience, personality and voice. The movie relates a circumspect reflection on how achieving the impossible comes about, with potential for application far beyond extreme sports.

A super good climbing movie!
This movie was SO good I had to watch it again the next day.
Another incredible journey up El Cap by a female climber.
Definitely inspirational for me (male) and hopefully inspirational for many female climbers (and one that are aspiring).
I'd obviously recommend this movie to any climber but absolutely also to non-climbers - the dedication, the will-power, the ups and downs of setting a high goal for yourself and doing what it takes to get there not even knowing if you ever well.
I will be watching this movie again and again.
