Pretty and Terrible
This movie, about a couple in love with specific plans, who get sidetracked by her finding out she's the daughter of Turkish aristocrats, loses its way early. The scenery is beautiful. The film is - hopefully - a caricature about the Turkish nobility and the star's faithlessness in her intended. Movie gets a couple of points for her friend and maybe one for a small number of her cousins. Much better Hallmark romances available.
Splendid-looking film
I really felt like watching the film after the teaser. It is a splendid-looking film that nicely and lightly shows a German-Turkish culture clash. The story is also quite interesting, with one or two twists. A bit like a Turkish, more modern Princess Diaries.
What I also found great: many beautiful and attractive people are in it, not only the two main actors but also some of the supporting actors. (What I also thought was great is that some of the actors speak Turkish or have Turkish roots. Really authentic! And it really made me want to go to Turkey.)
Great for a summer evening alone or together.

My only complaint? The title
It really does feel like a Turkish soap opera packed into a single movie, and I say that positively. It's dramatic, emotional and entertaining from start to finish. Edo and Leyla completely lifted the mood with their energy and fun vibe, giving the film that extra warmth. I'd honestly watch this as a full series. My only complaint? The title! It's completely unappealing and doesn't do justice.
Throwing cliches at the wall to see what sticks
Entire "plot" feels as if screenwriter had a fever, spent weekend binge watching Turkish soap operas and rom com and when set down to write the script forgot what happens in each genre.
Entire plot is nonsensical. Mavi's father left the family because he didn't approve of the lifestyle but his mother never checked in on him? And didn't know she has a granddaughter until she reads about her by chance?
And it's downhill from there. High Turkish society, trying to contrast old, established ones with new, young,IG centered ones. And of course there is a cliche villain, typical of soaps. And challenges to Mavi and her love, typical of rom coms. If you've seen some of either you can predict entire plot and story within 30 minutes.
Entire thing is a mess, plot is all over the place and zero attempt is made to tell a coherent story. Scenery is amazing and I guess showing Cappadocia was the whole point of it.

I'm giving this movie a 3/10 and not a 1 because it shows beautiful Turkish sights and Turkish people, and there is one sometimes entertaining side character. That's it. It has no other values. It's a ridiculously dumb and totally predictable story without a beat of original thought. I'm sure the original idea was simply an advertisement sponsored by the Turkish tourism department, but they decided that some minimal story should be added.
