A Pledge to Ginny - Kuma Becomes a Father

This episode was an emotional rollercoaster. Kumas journey took another heartbreaking turn as he faced the loss of Ginny and the revelation about Bonney's origins. The storytelling was poignant, and the animation beautifully captured the depth of these moments. It left me reflecting on the complexities of love, loss, and family.

Great episode I loved it just one complaint whats with the censorship... like seriously they have no problem giving every woman some short, short clothes but god forbid Bonney sticks out the middle finger. How is a finger worse than the excessive fan service in every female character? I guess i just matured to the point where i notice things like this i mean i wont rate the anime lower for that im just saying. Anyway besides that beautiful episode kuma is really one of the most amazing characters. Back in thriller bark i never wouldve thought id end up liking kuma and genuinely feeling bad for him. Alright so same time next week?

Episode 1132 of One Piece is a glaring example of how pacing issues continue to plague the anime. What could have been a thrilling follow-up to a climactic moment instead felt like a filler episode disguised as canon. The episode stretches a single scene far beyond its limit, with excessive reaction shots, reused animation, and awkward silence that kills the momentum.

The animation quality also dipped noticeably this time. Key moments lacked impact, with stiff character movements and minimal background detail. The dramatic confrontation that fans had been waiting for was reduced to slow glances and internal monologues that didn't add much value.

What's worse, the emotional beats felt forced. Characters stood around narrating their feelings rather than expressing them through action or dialogue. It felt like the creators were stalling for time rather than pushing the story forward.

For a series known for its emotional highs and epic fights, this episode was a letdown. If One Piece continues down this path of padding and uneven direction, it risks losing the energy that made it legendary. Episode 1132 is skippable at best - a frustrating installment that does little to reward loyal viewers.
