Stanley the corgi is named after Stanley Park in Vancouver, Canada.
The zombie virus in this film was quite likely inspired by the Green Flu from the Left 4 Dead series, given the zombies seen have similar skin discolouration and glowing eyes. The sequence beginning around the 2:40 mark is reminiscent of a Crescendo Event, and at several points wee see posters reminiscent of CEDA's PSAs, with one briefly seen at 3:58 even sharing a colouring. All this means that John Cody Kim may play Left 4 Dead, and believes that the Green Flu has indeed spread beyond the contiguous United States to Canada and possibly Alaska.
