Episode 3 was absolutely amazing, the animation quality is still the same, the atmosphere of the donghua is still as mysterious as in the first 2 episodes. Most importantly the pacing slowed down a lot from the first 2 episodes and I hope this doesn't change too much in the future.
This is pretty much a guarantee as the studio in charge of the adaption had a deal with Tencent where they had to include the clown right within the first three episodes hence why the first two episodes had really fast pacing. Meaning that all future episodes from now on will likely have better pacing.
So all in all if this keeps up then not only anime of the year, Lotm might very well become anime of the decade.

I really liked the pacing of this episode. The fight scenes were choreographed brilliantly-they felt intense, raw, and immersive. I loved how the camera movements and animation elevated the action, making every hit and motion impactful. The soundtrack was perfect, adding layers of tension and emotion throughout the battles. The smooth transitions between scenes kept the momentum going without any jarring moments. Even the buildup to the fight had weight. Honestly, I can already tell that this adaptation is shaping up to be something truly special. It's going to be amazing, and if they keep this quality up, it might become one of the best adaptations we've seen in years.
The third episode of Lord of the Mysteries, "The Notebook," is a solid continuation of the series, maintaining its breakneck pace by covering roughly 30 chapters of the novel.
This rapid pacing makes the episode somewhat challenging to follow at times, though not impossible to grasp.
The animation remains stunning, consistent with the high quality of previous episodes, and the fight scene is a standout, packed with dynamic visuals and excellent sound effects that amplify the intensity.
Baised fans are rating every episode 10/10. What they will rate when the better episodes come ?
As of writing this review, the episode holds an IMDb rating of 9.7. Honestly, is it that exceptional?
Fans are calling this "peak fiction," but I strongly disagree-this episode doesn't even come close to that level. If a standard episode like this is being hyped as the pinnacle, I'm eager to see how audiences react when Lord of the Mysteries truly hits its peak.
This series has the potential to soar to even greater heights. Just wait-it's only going to get better.

Let the mysteries build up. Having a lot of questions is actually a good thing, they'll answer them in future episodes. The first three episodes are fast-paced because of the contract they agreed on, but the rest will be more stable. I don't understand why there's so much hate from some novel readers just because of the fast pacing. You can expect the series to include every single details.
I know it can be frustrating if you have read the novel for the fast pacing that we currently have in the series but that doesn't justify the 1 star review just because the series doesn't contain the immersion you had experienced in the webnovel.

Episode 3 of the Lord of the Mysteries donghua was absolutely stunning! The animation quality was even better than before, and the atmosphere captured the eerie, mysterious tone of the novel perfectly. Klein's expressions, and the voice acting all came together so well. I loved the way they handled the fight scenes-it felt intense and immersive. The soundtrack added so much tension, and the transitions were smooth. I can already tell this adaptation is going to be something truly special. I'm completely hooked! Very action packed and good combat choeography . Definetely looking forward to this show.
