Watched> Sunday, 26th October, 2025 @ The ARC Backlot Cinema, Blackpool. Rated 5 * * * * * EXCELLENT < Cert. 12A > A Great Play, with a Great Storyline, all about money, and being wealthy, and your position in life, which brings conflict between mother and daughter, and with the daughter not living up to mothers expectations, and her standards in life. Mother played by the brilliant Imelda Staunton, and what a top performance she gave, alongside her real life daughter Bessie Carter, who was also on top form. It was lovely to see them acting together for the first time. And not forgetting the rest of the cast, with their splendid performances. Throughout the two hours, you get now and then, some haunting/atmospheric music and dancing, which blends in really well to the story. What a pleasure it was to watch this, and in the theatre itself, the audience gave this stage show a STANBDING OVATION, which was WELL DESERVED. Director Dominic Cooke and Writer George Bernard Shaw, and very well done to them for this Splendid Play, which as received Rave Reviews Throughout. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (ps)
