    Let's Play Anime?!

The moment I saw this anime pop up on Crunchyroll, I nearly yodeled. To see an adaptation of one of my favorite web comics in front of my eyes... was baffling. This comic was one of the most unique reads I've come across! The world Mongie created is lived in by the most thoughtful characters, all working through their own problems. The development of the characters you meet keeps you attached, the world building makes you feel like you're living IN it, and the humorous moments keep things light hearted and familiar. The slow burn romances and subtle moments caught throughout the story linger with you, making you want to see more... and don't get me STARTED on the inclusion of raw human emotion and struggle portrayed in the characters key moments. The adaptation is impressive, from staying true to the story all the way to the voice acting... it truly feels like the vision the creator had for us readers. Give this show a watch, and be ready for some MOMENTUM! Things only get better from here... and I can't wait to see how it goes! Thank you to everyone putting in the love and care meant for this story!

    Horrifically bad

This anime is so terribly written that even getting through the pilot felt like I was being subjected to a new cruel and unusual torture method. I have seen One Direction fanfiction written by 11 year olds that was better written than this; and I'm not saying that sarcastically or as a throw away comment - I have genuinely seen fanfiction where a girl gets adopted by a boy band that has better plot execution and more likeable characters than this series that somehow got an anime adaptation green-lit. It is clear to me that this story was written to appeal to tweens who are too young to have literary standards yet. I feel insulted on behalf of all of the other webtoons and mangas that do not have an anime adaptation, yet somehow this does. Based on the quality of the animation style, I'm going to (wishfully) assume that this is a newer studio that is attempting to start itself up by pandering to a naive crowd so they can finance actual projects down the line. There are VAs in this that I recognize and I feel it just goes to show how bad direction can sink even successful actors. This story is lifeless, dull and predictable, with attempts at appealing to the "younger crowd" using slang that feels like a 50 year old uncle going through a midlife crisis, desperately grasping at straws of his youth that continually evade his reach.

    Entertaining and refreshing

Laughably enough, the main topic of this show is a media source being judged by the wrong demographic. It follows an anxious girl whose worst fears come to life and threaten the career she had been striving towards, and her having to learn to become a player in her own life instead of an NPC that lets life just happen to her. Despite the bad-faith review above, if you are looking for a show like My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999, where the story is driven by character development and found family, this is the show for you.

    Loved it

The storyline is unique and super interesting, I love it! It's about a the main character "Sam" who created a game, it's gets bombed after a terrible review on the game. She now makes it her mission to get the main point of the game across and get her rating, while also including romance and drama..

Unfairly Rated and Still Getting Better Every Episode (10/10)

Review: The low score this anime has right now is honestly unfair.

We're only six episodes in, and Let's Play keeps getting better with every new release. The story is growing beautifully, the characters are deep and relatable, and the emotional writing hits harder each week.

This isn't your typical fast-paced anime - it takes its time to build genuine moments, realistic emotions, and complex relationships. That's what makes it special.

Sadly, many people rated it too early, without giving it the chance to show what it's truly capable of.

If you've only seen one or two episodes, please, keep watching. You'll be surprised at how much it evolves - especially with the flashbacks and emotional layers being revealed now.

As someone who's been following it week by week, I can honestly say: Let's Play deserves far more love and a much higher score.
