It's pretty bad
I'm only rating this because when I was scrolling through my facebook reels this showed up as a 32 minute ad and it hooked me in, because it was so cheesy stopped right on 32 minutes so I had to find it on the app and watch it.
The acting, fake as all heck slaps and makeup are pretty atrocious, the makeup looked like tomato sauce and everyone besides Eve was so unlikable, rude and condescending.
Imagine if someone claimed you were a mistress and then started assaulting you without being the chance to fully explain? And when you explain and actual people who knew the person go flying off the handle at the bad people , the only time I cheered was when the rude flight lady got slapped and then both the sisters got arrested for being terrible people. Never make an assumption if you don't know the story, like how in all that time did she NOT know what Eve looked like? Spiteful woman.
The actress who played Eve deserved so much better and I hope she was ok after filming this.
So.. um yeah skip this one, it's not great but the acting and feeling like you want to jump through the screen and protect Eve says quite a lot.

The plane crashed
The Reckoning Takes Flight is one of those short "Reale" movies designed to grab your attention on social media through memes, quick clips, and bite-sized moments that encourage you to search for the full version. In theory, it's a clever way to market films to a generation that lives online. In practice, though, it's frustrating. Almost every time you try to actually stream one of these films on your phone or laptop, the buffering and freezing get in the way. And with this movie in particular, I kept asking myself-what's the point of hyping something up if you can't even watch it properly? Still, curiosity won out, and I pushed through the glitches to see where the story went.
To its credit, the concept itself was interesting. The plot had enough intrigue to make me want to track it down and finish it. Eve, played by the standout actress of the film, was genuinely solid. She gave a performance that hinted she could handle much bigger projects-grounded, believable, and actually compelling. Unfortunately, she was the exception. Many of the other actors, particularly the extras with featured dialogue (like the cowboy and the Black man who were thrown into scenes for no reason), added nothing but distraction. Their dialogue felt forced and awkward, making me wonder why those moments weren't left on the cutting room floor.
Among the main cast, Hayden did fine-he wasn't groundbreaking, but you could tell he has potential. Neil, Clara, and the sister also showed promise. Their characters could have been more compelling if given stronger material. But then there was the nephew, a performance that completely fell flat. The kid's acting was corny, borderline cartoonish, and pulled me out of every scene he was in.
The biggest issue wasn't necessarily the cast-it was the direction. Almost everyone had the potential to be decent, but the director chose to steer performances toward overdramatic, goofy caricatures. What could have been a tense, engaging thriller instead felt like an amateur play where no one knew what tone to take. Even the police officer character, who was supposed to bring some level of grounding authority, was miscast and badly executed.
The third act is where the film completely collapses. From Eve versus Clarice to the kidnapping subplot, it all became laughably unbelievable. The airport sequence-where characters suddenly overpower trained police officers while one of them has a broken leg-was absurd. No amount of suspension of disbelief could make that scene work. And then there's the bizarre choice to have characters stand by while a woman is assaulted, as if men would just watch and shrug in real life. These choices weren't just weak-they were irresponsible.
The final scenes sealed the movie's fate. The pregnancy twist as a get-out-of-jail-free card was not only poorly written but completely nonsensical. Realistically, a pregnant criminal would still face arrest, charges, and consequences. To top it off, the technical details were sloppy-the fake blood painted onto Clara's face never moved, smudged, or looked real, and Neil's gunshot wound was handled with zero believability.
By the time the credits rolled, all the intrigue that pulled me in at the start had been squandered. The film had potential-Eve's performance showed there was something worth saving-but the direction doomed it from the beginning. The writing wasn't strong, but writing can sometimes be elevated by smart choices behind the camera. Here, the director doubled down on bad decisions, from tone to pacing to final execution.
I discovered this film because my son stumbled on the Reale clips in the car, and I was genuinely excited to check out the full movie. Sadly, what began as intrigue ended in disappointment. The Reckoning Takes Flight proves that a strong concept isn't enough when poor direction overshadows everything else.
Verdict: An intriguing start that quickly nosedives into confusion and frustration. Eve is the only bright spot in a movie sunk by baffling direction and an incoherent third act.

I really hope the actors got paid
A film so bad it makes your average Hallmark movie look like Shaft.
I would have said it was written by AI but I don't think even think AI is THIS bad. Characters that go beyond parody, scenarios that are ludicrous and acting that belong in a PS1 video game cut scene. I kept waiting for the joke to pay off but realised... I was the joke for spending this much time watching it.
