    Going down hill fast

We saw it with Yellowstone. We're seeing it with Tulsa King. Paper thin storylines, unlikable characters and bad acting. You don't like anyone in the cast, so it's hard to root for anyone. They're all annoying. The stories aren't good. It's like they're ad libbing and doing a poor job of it.

I made it this far and I may go one more episode. If it doesn't pick up, I'll quit. Just like I did with Yellowstone. I'm sure Land Man is next. Smh.

    Average Episode Padding for Time

Tulsa King reaches its midseason point spinning wheels instead of moving forward.

The distillery storyline that should provide dramatic momentum instead circles back on itself, replaying familiar beats without fresh insight. Dwight schemes, the Dunmires retaliate, and the bourbon becomes a narrative ping-pong ball rather than meaningful stakes. One genuinely shocking moment punctuates the episode, but it arrives amid endless filler.

The Agent Musso subplot continues eating screen time without delivering payoff, pulling focus from the more compelling local conflicts. Margaret's political maneuvering, romantic subplots, and marketing gimmicks all feel like padding to reach the runtime requirement rather than essential storytelling.

Individual scenes work - Stallone delivers strong character moments, and the ensemble remains committed - but they're trapped in an episode that mistakes motion for momentum. The final minutes provide an intriguing hook for what's next, yet it can't rescue 35 minutes of treading water.

Five episodes into season three, Tulsa King feels dangerously close to forgetting what made it compelling in the first place.

    What has happened?

This show used to be so good! The first season was incredible. The second season was not as awesome, but still great. Then the third season came and the plot/story took a nose dive. Stallone acts like a confused teenager, more focused on his love life than his business. Tyson seems to have forgot everything he has learned from season one and two, and keep making mistakes, the old Manfredi would not have tolerated, and leaves everyone else to clean up the mess. Bodhi is more or less the only character left, that has stayed true to his character. The plot and all the added side plots only add to the frustration. Five episodes left to clean up this mess, they really have to step up the game big time, if this has to come to some kind of conclusion.

    Marginally Better

Improved over the last two episodes; Stallone co-wrote this one. But, they have created a mess for themselves with all these plots and cross-plots and side-plots, that have put this season into a deep, dark hole!

Just when you think the show might be turning a corner, they throw in a couple of new storylines. Nurse!

    Too Flippant

The series has fallen down a big plot hole. This is despite the always welcomed Robert Patrick. What the hell's going on? Too much of the script seems to be made up on the spot. Really bad ad libs. The storyline is kinda flippant. There is no regard for gravitas. The humor is silly. The romances are superficial. The antagonism predictable. I will still watch it, but I no longer look forward to it. Sad.

Dwight 'The General' Manfredi: Some advice, you want that? People don't get what they deserve; they get what they attract.

      Tyson Mitchell: Yeah, like karma.

Dwight 'The General' Manfredi: I don't know about karma. Karma! But I've gotten away with a lot of things. If you think you deserve to be punished inside, you will get just that; you will take the fall.

Tyson Mitchell: The fuck is that, the fall?
