Parenthood

We look around, we see and hear nothing but news about wars, conflicts, starvation and people killing each other out of hate and spite. You desperately need something to alleviate all the disappointment and frustration with humans, a respite from all the abhorrent and wicked goings-on unfolding all around us. The desperately awaited stuff comes along: another stunning documentaries series about animals in their breathtaking habitats.

Like all other BBC documentaries about wildlife, beautified by the magical voice of Sir David Attenborough, this one is magical and gorgeous. The animals in the series, the cameraman efforts, the intoxicating voice of Sir David make me believe that there are some vestiges of humanity left on this tumultuous world.

Thank you, all the people, involved in the creation of this series, a break away from all the dross on the TV and all the chaos in the world.

Parenthood is a nature documentary commissioned by the BBC. I have criticised the BBC in the past, but nature documentaries are one thing they are very good at.

The filming, editing and sound are top notch as always and David Attenborough is by far the best wildlife documentary narrator around. I took off 1 star as it is a pet hate of mine when British people use US English, for example he uses the US pronunciation of Zebra, (i.e. US: zee, UK: zed). I realise British English is dying out :-( Apart from that it is a series defiantly worth watching!
