The way I wait for new episodes of Shin's Project each week should honestly be studied. I genuinely love this show, and it's a shame that there's so little international marketing for it because it deserves so much more attention. When it first started, I thought it might be similar to The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix - but thank God, it carved its own identity.
It's refreshing to see new faces who bring so much depth and charisma to their roles. I really hope to see more of them in future projects (and yes, I'm already crossing my fingers for Season 2!).
One of my favorite episodes was when Mr. Shin ran for political office π - and seriously, why did the laundry guy even run again when it was already his seventh time? That storyline perfectly captured how chaotic and messy politics can be. I'd never seen South Korean campaign culture portrayed like that before - it was hilarious, chaotic, and somehow still insightful.
I also love Mr. Shin's dynamic with the hacker - their interactions are gold. The hacker's outfit choices alone deserve a special mention; the way they dress depending on the "vibe" of the episode always cracks me up π.
And with all that security, the way he still managed to get away... I'm sitting here anxiously waiting to find out why he did what he did. Watching a show week by week can be frustrating, but this one is absolutely worth the wait.
My guesses for the next four episodes:
The policeman will survive those stab wounds.
Philip and Si-oh might end up together (and maybe he'll even inherit Mr. Shin's shop?).
This show has heart, humor, and tension - a perfect mix that keeps you hooked until the next episode.
They got me crying in episode 11. It's was amazing to see the cast have so much fun in the last two episodes. Made me think of parents who lost their kids in circumstances that are too painful to explain or without justice being served.
I know the TVN's team read this ... If there is a season 2 start marketing it early especially to the international markets because it's one of my top 10 this year.
