Bram van der Vlugt plays Nick sr., who believes he is Sinterklaas. For many years, he played the role of Sinterklaas on the national events of Sinterklaas' arrival, pakjesavond and in Sinterklaasjournaal (2001), making him de facto Sinterklaas to a whole generation.
