The third series of the show was to comprise three stories of four episodes each. However, only the first story, "Nepal Tour", was broadcast in the UK on BBC One from October 2017. The next year, "Nigeria, Belize and Bangladesh Tours" consisting of the final eight episodes was broadcast from June 2018.
Molly Dawes was awarded the Military Cross (MC) for rescuing Smurf from the minefield. The MC is the third highest British decoration for valor in the field while under fire in the presence of the enemy, only surpassed by the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross and the Victoria Cross.
The medal Molly Dawes and her section mates received in the award ceremony was the service medal for Afghanistan given to all British military who served in that country.
Steve Tousssaint (Roger Mendez), Liz White (Emma). Royce Pierreson (Dr. Jamie Cole) and Shalom Brune-Franklin (Pvt. Maisie Richards) all appeared in Line of Duty (2012). Toussaint as CS Raymond Mallick in series 2, White as Media Manager Jo Dwyer also in series 2. Pierreson as DC Jamie Desford in series 4 and Brune-Franklin as DC Chloe Bishop in series 6.
