Trivia

Turkey Shoot

Edit
Actor Roger Ward, who played the 'The Dictator', played Chief Guard Ritter in the original 'Turkey Shoot' (1982) movie (aka 'Escape 2000').
The original Turkey Shoot film is playing on a television with the alternative title "Escape 2000".
Two stalwarts of Australian genre movie filmmaking, producer David Hannay and screenwriter Everett de Roche, passed away this film's during post-production, and within about a few days of each other. Both were friends and colleagues of this movie's producer Antony I. Ginnane. A tribute to them is included at the end of the audio commentary for this picture whilst the actual film is dedicated to them. The movie's closing credits dedication reads: ''For David Hannay and Everett de Roche''.
The original title was Elimination Game.
Two cast members, Roger Ward and Carmen Duncan, both appeared in the original 'Turkey Shoot' (1982) movie (aka 'Escape 2000').

Cameo

Antony I. Ginnane: The producer as President Charles Varrick. This is possibly Ginnane's first cameo in a movie since 'Fantasm 2' (1977) - an interval of about thirty-seven years.
Roger Ward: The actor who played the sadistic camp guard in the original 'Turkey Shoot' (1982) movie (aka 'Escape 2000') as a Libyan dictator.
