Why I Didnt Finish Watching Al-Dhariyah

Honestly, I was very excited about Al-Dhariyah as a different kind of Gulf crime drama, but the first episode was disappointing. The story began with Youssef's father dying before his eyes, then jumped forward ten years without sufficient introduction. The events were too numerous and too fast-paced, but they lacked depth and a genuine connection to the setting and characters.

The acting was weak, and the dialect was unconvincing, as if the actors weren't living in their own world. The world of drugs and crime was presented superficially, without understanding its roots or the characters' logic. The ending tried to create a shock, but it didn't have an impact because the introduction wasn't strong.

Frankly, the first episode didn't give me any motivation to continue. The idea is good, but the execution needs to be revamped and the concept clarified.
