Actress Aarchi Sachdeva, who will be seen portraying the character of Saanchi in the television show ‘Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara’, expressed that it was her destiny to play the role. The actress was on the verge of leaving Mumbai when the opportunity to play Saanchi unexpectedly presented itself.

Reflecting on the turn of events, Aarchi shared: “I am super excited and blessed to be a part of ‘Meetha Khatta Pyaar Hamara’. While some opine that it is true, Rinku shared: “Things are changing, we are seeing a lot of old gems back on screen. There is a lot of good work around for actors like me. The industry has also changed over the years.”

“The first change that I see now is that we pack up on time. I remember I used to work for 18, 20 hours during ‘Durgesh Nandini’. Work pressure has reduced. Things are more organised now,” she said.

The release date of Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam starrer Junooniyat has once again been shifted to its original release date. The intense love story will now be releasing on 24th June, 2016. The film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited.

A source close to the production house says, “Junooniyat distribution rights has been sold to Pooja Films. It was their decision to pre-pone the release to 17th June and now they have decided to release it on their original release date, 24th June. As a distributor, T-series will go by their decision.”

Vivek Agnihotri’s Junooniyat is Yami Gautam and Pulkit Samrat’s second film together, and talking about his film’s lead pair, the director shares that the two fit the parts to the T.

Gulshan Devaiah who received rave reqviews for his role as Mandar Ponkshe in ‘Hunterrr’ will be seen sharing screen space with best friend Kalki Koechlin in Pooja Bhatt’s next production. The film, which will be directed by Soni Razdan, is based on the infamous Km Nanavati case of 1959. The story is about a naval commander, Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati, who was tried for murdering his British wife’s lover. Known for being perfectionist, both the talented actors have already started preparation for their roles for their upcoming film ‘Love Affair’.

Since the movie revolves around the elite society of Mumbai in the ’50s, both the actors are doing a lot of research to prepare for their roles. A source close to Gulshan says, “They have been watching a lot of movies from that era. They have also been reading books to understand the kind of language people used on a day-to-day basis.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri promises to show the real beauty of Kashmir with his upcoming film Junooniyat. The director says, “Till now, the true beauty of the Dal lake was cinematically experienced only in Shammi Kapoor and Rajesh Khanna’s romantic songs. I am really looking forward to bring it alive in my film. The beauty of the lake is that without a boat, it’s only a huge patch of white.”

He further adds it was no child’s play to shoot in Kashmir during cold, “When we were shooting there the atmosphere was so cold that the place used to be enveloped in fog and the daylight used to usher in very late. There was a particular scene that we wanted to shoot during sunrise, so the actors woke up early and were ready at 4.30 am in the cold weather but the sunrise happened at 6:40 am.”

Yami Gautam, who recently shot for the first schedule of her upcoming film, Junooniyat, directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-series, might vehemently agree. During the shoot of the film, the temperature was around 10 degree Celsius. When asked the director of the film, Vivek Agnihotri about the shoot, he said, “The temperature in Kashmir was less than 10 degree Celsius, most of us are not used to these kind of temperatures but I must say, the adverse climate didn’t stop my crew, my whole unit was working very efficiently in the cold, but I have to mention, I am most proud of Yami. The way she was working is worth applause.

Junooniyat, produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-series, has wrapped up its first shooting schedule last week in Kashmir. Director of the film, Vivek Agnihotri says he had two particular reasons for which he decided to shoot in Kashmir. First, this is the only time in year when royal Chinar trees shed their striking red and orange leaves, which is a breathtaking sight and very distinct to Kashmir. He wanted to capture that beauty.

Says Vivek, “This happens for only 15 days in a year and as soon as the season arrived, we were in Kashmir to capture the beauty. I shot several scenes and a romantic track there as my hero Pulkit Samrat’s character, an army man is based in Kashmir.”

The second reason which filmmaker points out is, this is the only time when the Dal lake is enveloped in a thick fog cover, which seems like a huge white screen.

Yami Gautam, who is shooting in Kashmir for her upcoming film Junooniyat with Pulkit Samrat, spent quality time with local kids who were gathered to watch the shoot. On this Yami says, “They love movies. But since there aren’t any cinema halls in the valley, they can only watch them on tv.” Talking about the difficulties of shooting in Kashmir, the gorgeous actress says, “The local’s have been very co-operative, they were no disruption. The locals only want peace. Is that so difficult to offer?”

Vivek Agnihotri was in a similar fix when the makers of Zid, claimed he had directed the film. The truth of the matter is when Vivek wrote the script for Anubhav Sinha, Agnihotri was of the impression that he is making a psychological thriller but somewhere during the making of the film, Sinha, without informing Vivek Agnihotri, decided to promote Zid as an erotic thriller. “I left the film on moral and professional grounds,” clarified Agnihotri.

While Vivek is extremely proud of his find Barbie Handa now-known-as Manaara, he doesn’t want to be associated with the film at all, “I was hired to make an intelligent psychological thriller based on a Canadian film The Good Neighbour for which Anubhav had taken rights.
