Originally, Hrithik Roshan was going to play the role of Bajrangi under the direction of Rakesh Roshan but writer V. Vijayendra Prasad wanted to co-produce with Rakesh Roshan. Roshan does not ever co-produce films with anyone. Bajrangi role ends up going to Salman Khan and directing to Kabir Khan.
