Better than average....

....for a vertical romance drama. While the storyline has a lot of elements shared with other verticals, the details are different enough to make it come across as its own movie.

Anna Stadler and Marc Herrmann make for an attractive lead couple and are pretty good at not acting over the top like so many other vertical actors. The story and the leads both drew me in, making it a mostly enjoyable watch. I say mostly because, as usual, there is the typical antagonism from surrounding characters, most of which is unrealistic and over-acted. But, on balance, one of Marc Herrmann's more enjoyable verticals.

Kept My Interest

This was a good one to watch, moved quickly and kept my interest. Acting was good, especially the two leads. Only things I did not care for are the same things I have seen in many of these type shows. One is the end seems rushed, trying to wrap up 2 or 3 things in the last 5 minutes or so. Also, I like to see the bad people punished. For all the harm they do, not knowing what happened to them or just arresting them and taking them away in handcuffs is not enough. Also, did the ex-wife wear the same dress in every scene?

Different

While some of the tropes were the same, the different storyline made the movie interesting.

Anna Stadler and Marc Herrmann did wonderfully as the leads. Dorothy Mannine is another great actress. I've seen her in a couple of movies where she wasn't portraying the evil other. I'd like to see her get more roles where she's on the good side.

As with most movies, the outcome could be predicted early on, but how that end was achieved kept my interest.
