Despite being a fan-film, this is the earliest live-action film of Spider-Man ever produced.
"Frankenstein vs. the Wolf Man", "Juvenile Jekyll" (a.k.a. "Teenage Hyde"), "Lost Island", "Superman at the Earth's Core", "Teenage Rebels", "To Be Frank", and "Valley of the Dinosaurs" were movies planned but never made.
The Spider-Man costume used in this film was originally made three years earlier by Glut's mother, Julia B. Glut, for Glut to wear to the World Science Fiction Convention.
This is the last amateur film from Donald F. Glut, as they had got him enough attention that he was able to start working professionally as a writer and, later, director.
William G. Obbagy has a cameo role as a bystander.
