The real-life rappers (50 Cent, Diddy, Nas, etc.) talking about their love for Style Boyz were not scripted. Their responses were based on questions asked by The Lonely Island as if it were about the real-life rap group Beastie Boys.
In this movie, Seal says he got the scars on his face from wolves. In real life, he got the scars from lupus, an autoimmune disease. The scientific name for wolves is "Canis lupus".
All three of the Lonely Island members' wives appear in this movie: Joanna Newsom as the purple-haired defibrillator operator, Marielle Heller as a member of Conner's documentary crew, and Liz Cackowski as the stage manager with whom Lawrence makes out. Jorma's son (drumming baby) and brother, Asa Taccone (performer before Style Boyz at the Poppies) also make an appearance.
