It was exactly what I expected: boring, stupid, pointless, long, not scary, and poorly written. Just like the previous two movies in this franchise it was a lot of style & very little substance. There are no scares, there is a little bit of gore & violence, but without any real plot the movie leaves the viewer longing for the movie to just simply end. It seems to me that more & more modern movies, especially in the horror genre, are embracing this style. Is it because there are no decent writers left? The movie rambles and it is clear that it is padded out with shots that go on for far too long. The characters lack motivation, and when the real killer is finally revealed, there is no suspense and no shock factor. I was sitting there going, "who the hell is this guy? What? Who is this?" Kevin Bacon wastes his time as much as the viewer. His acting is pathetic and his "accent" is completely bogus. Why was he chasing Maxine around? What was it he wanted from her? Was he threatening to kill her if she wouldn't go with him? That doesn't even make any sense. I have to reiterate: this movie was stupid. Don't waste your time with this pile of garbage. I hated it.

Dogs of WAR? More like "Dogs of BORE." Beautifully shot, but painfully boring. Most of this movie is just Walken WALKIN' around. Walkin' around doing nuthin'. There seems like there were a lot of these movies in the late 70's early 80's. A hired mercenary puts together a rag tag team to go overthrow a dictator or some other nonsense in a dystopian nightmare third world country in Africa. Like the Wild Geese, this one bares more resemblance to the far inferior sequel, Wild Geese 2. Very similar, in fact, as that movie is mostly just Scott Glenn walking around not doing much. Mostly just boring the audience seems to be the purpose of these movies. If you want a good action movie about mercenary adventures in Africa, go watch "Dark of the Sun." That movie is actually awesome & definitely delivers where "The Dogs of War" miserably fails. This movie is a total slog. Don't waste your time.
