I highly recommend Brian Donovan's documentary, Kelly's Hollywood. This is a film that highlights a brother's love for a sister that has been given challenges. The film not only entertains but illustrates that a purpose filled life isn't about achieving wealth, possession and status but about being selfless and giving back. Donavon hits all the right notes in this touching love story to his sister.
As a gym rat I was looking forward to Dumbbells and it did not disappoint. A lot of characters in the film were based on people I swear I know. There were numerous laugh out loud moments and that's rare in comedies today. The writers obviously know the dynamics of what happens at the gym. Hoyt Richards shines as gym owner Jack Guy. This is one of those films where it looks like the entire cast is having a blast.
There is a lot of eye candy for both women and men alike in Dumbbells. Did I mention the great cameos from Tom Arnold, Jay Mohr, Carl Reiner and even Fabio. Highly recommended!!!

2 Kings is a 30 minute short film I was lucky enough to see in a theater in Los Angeles. The film had the entire audience on the edge of their seats. This visually compelling piece is something to behold and will inspire much discussion after you've seen it.
The talented director takes us to a dark place that isn't so much about sibling rivalry as it is sibling love, no matter how twisted that may become. The narrative serves up a very compelling world thick with the air of desperation.
The writing, directing and tech work are A+. I wish all films were this creative, meticulous and well-drawn.
