Whereas "Shaolin Temple" had exciting action throughout the whole film and paced itself accordingly, this film had virtually no plot and waited until the very end for any real suspenceful action.

Don't get me wrong. The last fight scene was amazing and worth waiting for. It's just that the rest of the film left a lot to be desired. The competition between the boy artists and the girl artists was interesting at first, but after 45 minutes of no plot other than both sides taunting each other, I found myself tempted to hit the fast-forward button.

The fight scene at the end, as well as a few others in the film, show some serious artistry. Jet Li proves once again that he's one of the best artists in Hong Kong Cinema, and Master Pan (I forgot his first name) make a formidable villan.

The film is worth seeing for the action, but if you want to hit your fast fwd button a few times, you won't miss much.

This is Jet Li's first film as a lead actor, and it doesn't disappoint. The martial arts action is great and the scenery around the Shaolin Temple in Luoyang, China is breathtaking. There are a variety of weapons and styles that are showcased in the film, adding to the action. In particular, seeing the 3 sectional staff used in combat was really cool, and there's one guy who does flips off of his head!

It is a rare one to find but if you can find it, I recommend seeing "ShaoLin Temple".

Fong Sai Yuk works on so many levels. It's a fully entertaining film, with a decent plot, three dimensional characters and some great martial arts action. In possibly his best role, Jet Li creates a character that's arrogant yet naive. Josephine Siao plays his mother whose comic acting is greater than Jackie Chan.

Those who dislike Kung fu films may get past their disliking after seeing this film. Though it does contain its share of cliches and wild stunts (a man rides his horse as it jumps about 50 feet on to a boat), its story, action and humor may win over those whose hearts are closed to martial arts cinema.

In short, see the film. You won't be disappointed.

"Game of Death" will be a disappointment to even Bruce Lee fans. The only real Bruce Lee footage comes at the very beginning and very end of the film, and even then it's hard to enjoy after seeing the rest of the film.

It's simple: Does the film live up to what Bruce would have made, and is it good enough as its own project?

The answers are no and HELL NO! The story for this finished work isn't anything close to what Bruce originally planned. And as its own film, minus Bruce, it's horrible. As a fan of Kung-fu films and an AVID fan of Bruce Lee, I only give this film a rating of 2 for its original footage that Bruce shot. Beyond that, even seeing this movie for free doesn't help.
