The documentary has many of Yogananda's teachings. That in itself is a good enough reason to go in the first place. It has made me more grounded in my own yoga practices. The filmmakers show the history of this Sad Guru, his lineage, and the love between Guru and disciple. It has filled me with awe and gratitude for how he and his devotees have built up so much in the USA and India. The imagery is as close as one can get to the experience of the divine. The music is appropriate and runs well. The talking heads are all interesting to watch. For a change they actually have something to say. :-)
I'm very happy to be a human being.

It has one of the best opening scenes: is it a street riot? an anti-American demonstration? where is the sale? But soon the director does what he likes best: manipulate the hell out of his actors, and us, as if we are puppets. The eagerness of those people to appear in his movie is anywhere between touching to awful (hey folks, it's only a movie). But maybe it says more about the importance of film in Iranian culture. I saw it three times and was equally engaged every time.
Who says experimental movies are boring or inaccessible? Using film footage she shot on her travels, Betzy clips them together in three parts. Your stream of consciousness will go from there - where ever you want to go. The soundtrack of music, sound effects and other mind altering tickles to your ear is as influential as the rhythmic flow of images dancing for your eyes. I was not even aware anymore being in a theatre.
