Steve Martin puts on one of his best (if not his best) performance in this movie. Even though we don't see much of Lily Tomlin, Steve Martin almost convinces us that her spirit inhabits his body - such is the quality of his performance. There are some poignant moments between Martin and Tomlin which are appealing. There are also many laugh-out-loud moments when Martin copes with Tomlin's spirit.
I just loved A Bug's Life!! The animation was superb; so superb that I actually forgot the bugs were simply creatures of animation. The storyline was uncomplicated but so what?! The movie was entertaining with characters one can have an affinity with. One must stick around for the closing credits - the "outtakes" were excellent!
A superb and biting satire of the politics of a television newsroom. Ken Finkleman seems to have been born to play the role of the newsroom head and the supporting cast also play the roles convincingly.
