Patty Duke, Susan Hayward, Sharon Tate, and Barbara Parkins in Valley of the Dolls (1967)

  • Perfect, delicious, pure trash!

Probably my favorite film of all time. The best classic trash, with the greatest costumes, and the biggest hair! Watch for the poolside scene in which Patty Duke, Martin Milner, and Sharon Tate all say "fag"! I'm sure everyone on Earth noticed the famous "beads-around-the-breasts" shot, so we won't go there. My favorite line: Barbara Parkins tells Patty Duke that she shouldn't be taking her "dolls" with alcohol, and Patty says "It makes 'em work faster."

  • A chilling horror classic!

Proof positive that a great horror film can be made without gore, violence or shock; just pure spine-chilling concept. It's hard to find a film as genuinely scary as this. Ms. Kerr is brilliant as the governess, and the children deliver fine performances. Must-see.
George Hamilton, Jim Hutton, Connie Francis, Dolores Hart, and Yvette Mimieux in Where the Boys Are (1960)

  • Lovely, innocent trash!

Gene Kelly, Robert Mitchum, Paul Newman, Shirley MacLaine, Dean Martin, Dick Van Dyke, and Robert Cummings in What a Way to Go! (1964)

  • A superb, one-of-a-kind comedy!

A wonderful show-piece for Shirley's talents! Note the "On Our Little Houseboat" number with Gene Kelly, and you'll see some of Shirley's best dancing! The movie parodies are excellent, especially the sequence with Robert Mitchum, in which Shirley wears dozens of costumes in a few minutes flat; and I quote, "Our life together was like one of those big-budget movies, all about Love, and What'll she wear next!"
