This documentary explores unique methods of paranormal investigation and multiple haunted locations. Each location in the ghost town is given the factual history and then the history is compared within the results received during the investigation.
These are not actors, they are paranormal investigators who are providing an unscripted look at what happens when calls are received to explore haunted locations.
This is not a feature film; it is raw material, unscripted and edited by a production team.
These are actual haunted houses and they do not employ lighting fixtures in order to adjust lighting. It is the actual environment to immerse you in what houses with documented paranormal activity are life.
Each investigators brings a unique perspective and method but ultimately everything comes to a resolution at the end.
If you're looking for a horror film, this is not that. There are clients who are interviewed for the locations and we have to respect them.

I think it's important to acknowledge and consider new voices in the paranormal and true crime fields as they are the future. I am grateful for Famously Haunted: Amityville doing just that. They balanced the introduction of new folks with voices that were keystones in establishing this case many years prior. It does a pretty good job being fair and weighing both angles rather than taking one side and sensationalizing it for views. Although it doesn't contain new information it does weigh both sides fairly and is respectful to those whose opinions differ. It also dissects the work of some of the original researchers.
Amy and Adam, along with a handful of some others are the only paranormal investigators I can take the time to watch. This program is central to compassion and empathy rather than jump scares and combativeness and fear. One of the first things I read about Kindred Spirits is that it was an "intelligent" paranormal show and I couldn't agree more. They focus on accuracy and research. Oh, and the cinematography is beautiful - it's like watching a movie about a haunting rather than someone screaming in the dark in low light. They feature locations that are often overlooked and explore avenues most don't - such as objects or subtleties that could affect the activity, They don't seek to eliminate but rather explain or soothe.
