I love the visuals and the acribe but the writing is kinda nonexistent this episode. Wayyy too much time is spent on pointless things that don't really move the story along. The 3 women who went to the retirement community and the water fight are killing the flow. I get what they are trying to do they want them to learn that they aren't young nor old and are better the way they are. It's just so pointless the real story is on the yacht, Bangkok and the mysterious husband. I understand they have to fill in time and they serve a purpose and maybe there is a big pay off in the end but for this episode it's interesting but not amazing.
The show has lost its charm, the reality based early seasons is gone. It's gone far too corny and dorky. I guess it's not marketed towards anyone over 20 but a lot of us loved the older seasons and movies. It's getting so silly I wouldn't be surprised if it started copying street fighter moves and began throwing fireballs and lightening kicks. The fights are so comical and over the top. I seen better more realistic fights on old power rangers episodes. I'm kind of happy this show is ending because I don't think I I'd watch another season if it continues this way. Right now I'm just curious how it ends but it's a shame how it's ending cause it started so strong.
I was so excited for the series premier and then this dump shows up. The plot was so obvious, the new characters were so basic and finally where were the jokes? How can you mess up Bender's family, like really? It should have been a home run! Personally the ancient Mayan themes of the episode made no sense and honestly should have made more current Mexican references as if they were ancient traditions. I'm hoping this is the only cruddy episode of the season cause I can live with that and considering I already see Episode 2. I gotta say the quality jumps tremendously. Hopefully the momentum carries through the season.
