I watched the film on the first day of its release and I was blown away by the visual spectacle and the action sequences. The film has some stunning scenes of Hanumanthu flying, fighting and performing miracles. The CGI and the VFX are top-notch and create a realistic and immersive experience. The film also has a rich production design and a vibrant color palette that capture the essence of the village and the mythology.
The film is not just a mindless entertainer, but also has a strong emotional core and a message. The film shows how Hanumanthu's faith in Hanuman and his devotion to his sister Anjamma and his girlfriend Meenakshi motivate him to overcome his fears and challenges. The film also portrays the bond between Hanumanthu and his monkey friend Koti.
The film has some brilliant performances by the cast. Teja Sajja is impressive as Hanumanthu and carries the film on his shoulders. He shows a range of emotions and expressions and makes us root for his character. He also does justice to the action scenes and the stunts. Amritha Aiyer is charming as Meenakshi and shares a good chemistry with Teja. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is powerful as Anjamma and delivers some impactful dialogues. Vinay Rai is menacing as Michael and makes a worthy antagonist. Raj Deepak Shetty is convincing as the village chief Gajapathi and Vennela Kishore is hilarious as Siri Vennela, Michael's assistant.
The film is written and directed by Prasanth Varma, who proves his mettle as a visionary filmmaker. He has crafted a unique and original film that blends mythology and modernity, tradition and technology, fantasy and reality. He has also created a cinematic universe that has the potential to expand and explore more stories and characters. He has handled the film with skill and flair and has given a new dimension to the superhero genre in Indian cinema.
The film is not flawless, however. The film has a long runtime of 158 minutes and could have been trimmed by 15-20 minutes. The film also has some clichés and predictable twists that dilute the impact of the film. The film also faced some controversy as it was leaked online in HD for free download within hours after its theatrical release. The piracy mafia affected the box office collections of the film and the makers urged the audience to watch the film in theatres only.
Overall, Hanu Man is a must-watch film for all the fans of superhero films and mythology. It is a film that entertains, inspires and educates. It is a film that celebrates the power of faith, devotion and courage. It is a film that introduces a new superhero to the Indian audience. It is a film that sets the stage for the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.
