I watched this German movie on Amazon Video with my girlfriend and it blew our minds.
The way we look at gender roles, the clichees of what to ecpect from a man and a woman and their role in society, changed drastically with this film.
It is worth watching and even more worth having the lively discussions with friends afterwards. We will definitely re-watch in a couple of days.

I am at a point where I am somewhat weary of Superhero movies. I feel that most of them are kinda the same. Someone discovers they have supernatural powers and then they have to find some 'glowing thingy' to save the universe or at least the world.
Yeah, but Joker was very very different from that formula: a delicately drawn psychogram of a lost maybe oversensitive person in a thinly veiled capitalism critique.
Joaquin Phoenix's performance is truly remarkable.

Poor story, flat characters, not any real surprises here. To call this film mildly entertaining could be already considered a stretch. The Kissing Booth is not a horrible movie, nor is it good or passable. It is a film that is probaly best consumed while being either very tired or very drunk.
