The show has been off to an amazing start. It feels like watching the old Dexter again. New blood made him look sloppy, stupid, make a lot of mistakes and completely go against the Dexter we knew. Resurrection is putting things back to how they should be. Smart characters making smart decisions. Characters making mistakes and doing things that make no sense is just a lazy way for writers to get themself out of a box. This show goes back to what made Dexter an amazing show. Cold, calculated and smart. The reunion of the legacy characters was also great and sets up what will be inevitable later on in the season. Just an excellent episode and excellent start to the show so far.
Great start to the new series, was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't a fan of how they ended the original show or most of new blood. So my expectations were kind of low going into this but they did a good job. Bringing back the old characters for cameos was great. Doakes doing the meme "surprise mfer" was hilarious. After watching original sin and now this, it seems like they have learned from their mistakes and are actually making the Dexter content we all fell in love with so many years ago. I hope the show continues this trend and am excited to see where it goes from here. The only cameo we missed out on was Deb for some reason.
