Movie is bad for majority of people. I like this type of movies, I like 2 main actors, so I am not objective. Also maybe because of my low expectations caused by many other bad reviews I expected this to be 2-3 stars in my view but like skylerkennethkidd it did made sense to me for a bit more than that. So, wasn't thaaat baaad.
However, it wasn't good either. And as many said, it missed so little to be an awesome movie.
For me the worst part is romance/love part combined with this 'story-unclear-mystery'. Looks as writer was forced to throw in some romance in the movie. As if on purpose it was poorly done and hidden from us and badly presented. That then spoils a lot and gives this fake-movie-feeling. Someone forgot to tell actors that their roles are supposed to show love so they behaved as robots. So easy to miss all that and then entire story makes no sense and only at the end you get it ... maybe ... and still you can ask lot of questions and conclude that story makes no sense if you now include love in the equation. If you are left with those confusing feelings and story doesn't make sense for so many people that's not entertainment unless you are in exclusively for action and don't care about the logic. Action part is not so bad, I think. But, even if you find some sense in the story only when you are exiting the theater I cannot call that a good movie, no matter how much a like the genre or the actors :(

Simply put: Did some kids make this movie ?
Good idea (not original though).
Poor acting.
Poor action scenes. Better go watch kids in schoolyard imitating some action scenes.
Poor music.
Poor camera.
Not funny at all.
Slow.
Too fake. Got some decent and good actors but looks like if they did this movie in such a terrible rush that they somehow forgot how to act.

Anyone even slightly interested in understanding this era and history must absolutely watch this! Well done and authentic. No BS, no pressure no bias no leading, no pushing. Pure and honest. Just an old guy telling his life. But not just any and ordinary guy. Huge bravo!
Life before, during and after communism.
Guy born in middle class and well situated before WW2 and communism. Under communism lived as above middle class. After communism middle class, retired. But always kept close touch with ordinary people, ordinary life, humble and always down to earth ... must see.
Black and white movie bothered me a little but not a big deal.
