After such a powerful start to this new story that left me in disbelief and, sometimes, tears, I was sure they couldn't do any better than that.
I was sure that episode 2 would be slower and, overall, worse rated.
But boy, was I wrong.
This episode is on par with what was in ep. 1. Excellent character development that grow on you the minute they appear on the screen, powerful perfomances from the cast, a story that gallops with thunderbolt speed - this episode has it all.
To all those "professional journalists" who said that story was very slow in their reviews before the show was released - what is wrong with you? Consider changing you job, because it hurts to see such clueless people in a field where your opinion matters so much to viewers.
Before the show released, I was honestly afraid that it would be a bust. Luckily, there was no reason to be afraid. Yet another 10/10 episode. Bravo.

Rick Grimes returns in both a fascinating and shocking fashion, par for the course for his character.
Despite the fact that the viewers have been familiar with Rick Grimes for years, the show still manages to tell us new things about him and develop his character.
Despite this being only one single episode, this show's pilot is better than any other TWD spin-offs' episode and arguably the pilot of the main show.
All-in-all, relentless action scenes, incredible performances all across the board, lore establishment, fast-paced plot and outstanding character development make this new TWD spin-off well worth the wait.

I have expected this episode to be drawn out for way too long since the teaser promised to show us the start of the apocalypse in Paris in this episode, and I feared they would make it take up an entire episode, but they went a different way.
Paris during the outbreak is being shown, Isabelle's and Laurent's characters become even more sympathetic and developed, side characters are getting more screen time, new characters are getting introduced, and the main flow of the story keeps on going. The pace is decent, and an hour passed by without me noticing it. The show somehow manages to tell us new stories about Daryl, too.
TL,DR: This show still manages to balance story-setting and action aspects, keeping up with everyone's expectations. A well-directed, well-paced episode of a show that keeps on delivering.
