Reminiscent of Breaking Bad but obviously not as good in any department- acting, story, production etc. There are flaws and plot holes, and it's not completely realistic to be fair-occasionally you have to suspend disbelief. That said, it is very entertaining and definitely a one-time watch. Do not go in expecting a lot and you may be pleasantly surprised.
Shabana Azmi is the standout performer as always - she really gets into the character and it's very easy to see why she shines. Unlike what most people are saying, in my humble opinion, Nimisha Sajayan has not given the best performance- she's decent but not the best in this. Indians do not appreciate subtlety and consider loud roles and fancy dialogue to be good acting, and do not pay attention to expressions and subtle mannerisms as much. Her role is that of a stereotypical maid with loud intonations and that stereotypical dialogue that so many Bollywood shows these days incorporate for maids. The maid storyline and trope is getting really old now. That is what real acting is- because it's often difficult to pull off. I felt like the other actors were better- surprised by Jyothika. Unlike others, you need to see her expressions and reactions carefully in order to appreciate her performance- she portrays her role in her marriage very well.
I like the dialogue as well, and the production quality is adequate. The subplots fit in well into the overall story and is weaved with ease. The characters are written well and are relatable- but a few of them are not completely fleshed out.
