I LOVE Andrew Walker. And I live Alicia Witt. But not together. Absolutely no chemistry there and I think she's fairly older than he is. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But even if that had been addressed, it still wouldn't have worked. They tried. But this storyline is old and tired and Hallmark really needs to come up with something different. Or add something more interesting with it. Or make sure the lead actors sparkle and sizzle.
I don't understand all the bad reviews. I thought the main actors were fine together and I was happy to see a woman of color in the lead for once. All the main Hallmark movie actresses are blonde or have highlighted hair. Yes I know Lacey Chabert, Erin Cahill and Danica McKellar are brunette but they are still white women. Hallmark doesn't use brown skinned people that often -- although they are getting better.
The scenery in the movie was beautiful and again I wish I could visit a small town that is decorated like that for Christmas. I enjoyed the mystery part and even though everything seemed to fall into place so easily (it IS a Hallmark movie), I liked it better than the typical big bad developer coming to tear everything down. It's 2022 Hallmark -- don't you think it's time to come up with some different plot lines? If you need help, I'm available!
It's a cute movie with a mystery plot and the actors are easy on the eyes. What else do you want or need?

I love Andrew Walker and Rachel Boston. I just wish they had focused more on the romance part. And if you're going to have both Patricia Richardson and Caroline Rhea in the same movie, give them more screen time! The plot about the big bad developer wanting to take over the small town has been done toooo death. Surely the Hallmark script writers can come up with something better. Even so, all of these great actors did a wonderful job with a flimsy script.
