  • Show had 2 formats, I enjoyed them both

I liked both versions of the show, but having two different approaches in one season shows just how many issues the creators and studio were having.

I vaguely recall it was originally a more straightforward show, with some humor but focused on Stephen Collin's managing the restaurant and his personal life. The humor was drier, but I liked that.

There may have been a break and the show came back with a new title, same characters and scenario, but more sitcom structured which made everything lighter, but I think I liked the original approach more.

In a way, it was a variation on Cheers but the owner owned an upscale restaurant and was dealing with his divorce. I was sorry it wasn't able to find it's groove and audience, but TV is littered with shows with similar fates.
