-What do you consider fun?
-Fun, natural fun. Kneecap bre.
These two kids plus manchild is about FUN as much as anything else. Their music, attitude, technique, style is PURE, TOP QUALITY FUN. In a very, very unique way. I can see them going a long way.
But then, it gets bigger than that. Seems like Northern Ireland is that place where you're not supposed to have that and nobody else ain't try to hear it. Fun is out of the picture, anything natural is out of the picture, it's explosive.
There you have it, a contemporary radical doesn't have to be politically correct (did they ever?), just free-minded enough to kick back when their FUNdamental rights are denied. Kneecap gets right back in your face the only way they know how, frigging with anyone and anything that stands in their way, therefore become political.
Love from Greece, we're looking forward to your gig Summer 25.

I can't believe this film didn't make the 1001 list by Schneider. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Admittedly, this is a sad film. It's actually a children's film that is more melancholic than most adult films. However, it's a masterpiece. The music, the drawings, the message. Everybody should see it. It's a film that you just can't watch enough times. Without the use of any words, in any language, with the exception of the lyrics of the song, which can be communicated through both the music and the brilliant vocals, this short animation achieves within 25 mins to create an emotional rollercoaster that relates to any human being and can be understood by any human being. Magnificent.
Well, it's not all bad. This 6th series of Black Mirror had a lot: first of all it had a loud voice, something that the last one definitely didn't have. But the format wasn't there, it was somewhere between Black Mirror and Something completely different.
Two episodes belonged to Black Mirror, without a doubt. That would be Joan is Awful and Beyond the Sea. The latter one being one of the anthology's better episodes, certainly the best episode of the 6th series IMO. Also, the first episode episode was quirky in a good way, I did like it. I think those added together with another good episode would have made a very decent comeback for the series.
On the other hand, we had the episodes that were not Black Mirror, but kept exploring themes that have to do with the film industry itself (something explored in the first episode too). Loch Henry failed it's potential and ended up messy, but Mazey Day was a very good episode. Again, those two could make up a separate series tied together some more similar episodes.
I would prefer the idea of having two separate series rather than that, but that would demand more episodes than the existing ones.
And then, we had that last episode which was just completely flat. I don't think it was good enough for the expected standards, it didn't tie in with any other theme, it was just another one hour and then some of boring, lame television. It was what I'm trying to avoid watching and the reason I stay away from TV shows generally, except for exceptionally good ones like Black Mirror- oh what a shame, it was Black Mirror!
I consider Demon 79 the lowest point of series 6 and a good contender for the lowest of the whole show.
