This is an excellent show. The best part, outside of the opening music and intro, is the tremendous acting and character development that takes many many episodes to build into a set of believable and entertaining characters. This is a "gritty" show as you will probably read in a lot of reviews but it's also " visceral" in the violence, the struggles, the stakes, etc. Theres a reason Disney picked up the continued rights to this series from Netflix who did an absolutely terrific job in the creation of this.
So, we were searching for a new show to watch and knew basically nothing about this series. As it turns out, it's pretty well written and has an intriguing story and good acting. We have completed almost all of season 1 and now are eagerly waiting for season 2. A good mix of intrigue and mystery and drama with good acting, this is a thumbs up/watch in my humble opinion.
So, first off I will say I really wanted to like this show. The premise is interesting and I was looking for another Marvel/Disney success story promoting lesser known and more minor characters. They've had success and I've often found the shows like DareDevil and Moonknight and Jessica Jones really really good. They all had something this does not however... character development and character progression. That is absolutely vital to these series and this one is basically like here's your character and BAM!, she's a superhero and amazing. It so stupid and poorly executed. On top of that, it is literally impossible to get used to the awful CGI. Again, those other Marvel properties (of which only Moonknight was made by Disney) had very little CGI and it's because they didn't need it. This show is terrible overall not because of the story but because of the production and the missed priorities of the development team. Start over, reboot this dreadful attempt and try again. It is possible to make this work, but this particular iteration is a travesty.
