This movie comes off as a short. Or a stage play. It almost like a one act, one setting movie. They shouldn't have made this a movie. Could have been a 15 minute story. I kept checking my watch after about 20 minutes. After 45 minutes I told myself this is still the same event as the beginning of the movie. Like nothing happened. After an hour I started contemplating on going home to instead watch Netflix. It's a whole lot of nothing. No captivating storyline. Just a straight mission and that's it. You're not watching a multi act movie with ups and downs, you're watching a mission being done. It's far too straight forward. No one should have to pay for this. This is not even a good background movie. I wouldn't do laundry with this on.
Production is good. Story is alright. This type of show is too flamboyant for me. It won't be for everyone. My critique of this show is how cringe it is. I think it's always cringe when writers modernize gods. Make them Hip; cool. Have them dress fashionably. It down plays the characters. It's like having old people use young people slang. It's just off when old people do it. It also comes off little mockerish. I get it, it's Hollywood. People should be allowed to write what they want but that doesn't change how people respond to uncanny valley material and what makes them cringe. It's like having a modern liberal hipster Jesus that dresses in designer gear.
Having gods in suits, giving them flamboyant Miami type shirts.
They're trying to hard to make something cool. And it's just not cool. For that I give it a 6. I seem 6 episodes so far. And the only things that caught my attention were the outfits and sets because gods are I guess rich and fashionable.

A movie shouldn't get good reviews just because it looks nice visually. Thats all this movie had for it and I'm talking about the colors. The settings itself seemed depressing. This is the type of movie you'd expect a blue/grey filter to represent gloom but instead went with neonesk colors. All this should be worth at most 2 starts. The main character is a decent actor I'll give an extra star for that and a charity star. There's no horror in this movie. It's just a straight artsy movies that's weird that tries to sell off as a horror. I'm sure many of you know are familiar with these types of movies. There are some of you that are into them but not me. No amount of star power will get me to like an artsy movies that's weird. Story is the most important. I saw this movie with 4 people and we all fell asleep at separate times. At the end of it someone said they felt like they wasted 2 hours of their life and sadly I felt the same. We put on Godzilla minus one after; are each first time watching it and now that movie was a way better movie with the label horror. Go watch that.
