The film is satisfying for the most part. Definitely worth watching. But, be aware that the film chooses to omit important details about Tolkien.
You can't make a biography of an artist and elude one of the main features of his life which also influenced his work. Christianity was integral in Tolkien's life so to leave it out is a massive misrepresentation. If you remove that from his biography, you are not portraying Tolkien, you're portraying a fictional character instead.
What they did is very disrespectful in my opinion.
"The Lord of the rings is a fundamentally catholic work" ~ J. R. R Tolkien.
