5 stars purely because this is one of the best-animated shows I've ever seen. It's genuinely some of the best in anime.
The worldbuilding is actually pretty interesting, and the first season even sets up some interesting stuff. But after the (very strong) opening few episodes, the show quickly devolves into a very simple formula:
Ultimately there's nothing of any substance here - the lack of stakes or interesting characters means that a lot of fights are boring, despite looking incredible.
Season 1 at least has a bit of challenge for the main character, but in Season 2 it truly devolves into nothing but a power fantasy.
If you need some filler action to turn off your brain to and just enjoy, this is definitely some of the best. It isn't any good beyond that.

- Arrogant enemy appears (human or otherwise)
- Enemy pisses off main character
- Main character obliterates enemy (if you're lucky it'll be a strong enemy, and he'll obliterate them over the span of a few minutes instead of instantly)

This show sets itself up well in the first episode or 2, and the overall plot is pretty good. The animation isn't on the same level as some of the studio's other work (such as Castlevania), but is still very pretty. The gods and main villain especially are quite interesting.
The issue is that these interesting characters are mainly sidelined for the very bland human characters (primarily the main protagonist, who doesn't have even a singular personality trait). This led to most of the show having bad pacing, and a lot of the drama falling flat. Additionally, while Zeus is one of the best characters, his intervention often felt like it was just moving the plot along, rather than adding to it. Not to even mention all the exposition dumping (even if one of the flashbacks is very interesting).
Ultimately, it's wasted potential, which is all the more painful considering just how much potential there was.
