I don't know what this was supposed to be - comedy - drama - thriller. Whatever it was it was so overshadowed by political correctness that the action was totally lost. Most of the cast spoke in whispered killing English accents and repeated themselves endlessly. Virtue signalling was rampant - so it had to be mentioned that the FL was perfectly OK with her son being gay - except that he wasn't that was just a one off experiment when he was in Uni - he is engaged to be married now - to a black woman. How many boxes can you tick at once? The story is pure chase and escape and not much else. The jail scenes with David Dencik were more interesting.
Freddy Highmore was weak in this part - I couldn't take him seriously - and Keeley Hawes - she really is getting over-exposed and therefore boring.
In summary this series was bogged down by poor acting and poor direction and complete unoriginality.
It certainly killed my interest.

I was ten minutes into the first episode when I knew how this story would progress and end.
It concerns the death of a girl who hurtles off a cliff in Yosemite Park - and the Park Service Agent, Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) who is determined to find out who killed her and why. Of course he is divorced and grieving for his dead son whom he talks to at various intervals. He is appointed a female partner, Naya Vasquez who has a child with whom she is on the run from an abusive partner who used to be a cop.
Their boss is Paul Souter - Sam Neill.
The cast consists of the league of Nations and the tropes come thick and fast with pointless scenes that feature the most terrible acting I have ever seen. Notably at a house showing. It was slow in parts and rushed in others and much of the plot points were glossed over with no necessary information. Adequately acted by most of the cast but poorly written with an ending that was more of a whimper than a shout.
