A white comedian in 2022 "roasts" his Mexican family for 25 minutes. In a premise that is entirely outdated, Brendan manages to add modern sophomoric twists to the idea of not respecting cultures foreign to your own. Even amongst the worst of observational comedy, the comedian has some integration into the culture they are making jokes about. Brendan throughout the special is unfamiliar with how to pronounce even the most basic of Spanish words. This could work if Brendan was funny. Unfortunately years of being surrounded by sycophants on his many unsuccessful podcasts has left Schaub unable to know what is actually funny and what his employees laugh at so they can continue to get paid. Many of the "jokes" in this special are all set up with no punchline. Or if there is one it is hard to decipher as he uses voice inflection to stress certain words and phrases but they do not bring any closure to the premise.
In short, this is some of the worst comedy you'll ever see. Schaub claims he could have sold this to any number of networks for millions but instead chose to bet on himself. Despite the dubious nature of the first part of that claim, it seems as those Schaub is as bad a gambler as he is comedian.

It's so hacky to do the anti-woke thing for a whole special. In addition to having a manufactured voice that could best be described as grating, this Andrew Schulz sycophant provides no interesting insight or fresh perspective on the subjects covered. Akaash's stand up is what happens you exist only in the pod casting bro world and all the same unfunny people tell each other the same unfunny jokes. His delivery does zero favors as well. He often pauses after "edgy" jokes, except that no one's shocked they're just confused at what he chose as his punchline. It's only 20 minutes, and free on YouTube but it's still not worth anyones time or money.
