  • I Don't Understand the Hate for This Show

I don't get why everyone is so bent off about this show? It's literally labeled "sci-fi romance", and that's pretty much exactly what it is.

It's gorgeously shot, like truly. The effects are brilliant. It's one of the most realistic takes on the future/future technology (some aspects at least). I was also really impressed with the actors. The actors have good chemistry and the plot is unique. I think it is definitely worth the watch. There are a few plot holes and I definitely wanted more from the last episode. I think the show would have been even better if it were 8 episodes instead of 6. The buildup of the first 4 episodes was great, but it felt like they ran out of time and rushed the last two. Overall I genuinely enjoyed the show.

  • Great Film - We Miss You Whitney!

This movie is will leave you feeling gutted as if we got Whitney back for just a little while, and that is what makes the film great. IWDWS is all about Whitney and her music. I wasn't sure what to expect honestly, I didn't read any reviews because I wanted to go into it unbiased. However, I was afraid the plot would be muddy with the painful details of her life, which are real and actually happened, but it was a graceful balance between acknowledging her demons and giving us a glimpse back into her spirit. I love Whitney's voice and I miss hearing it, so the movie completely delivers on that front.

My only resignation for not giving it 10/10 is for the way in which Bobby's character is written. They made him out to be a prick, unintelligent and a cry-baby. Whitney clearly loved him for a reason and they were married for many years, but the movie doesn't make that relationship believable to me.

    Overall a must-see.

  • Extremely Thrilling

DC has finally embraced their role in the superhero stratosphere as the darker and grittier comic series and did so without any unnecessary gore or over-complication. Right off the bat I'll say Robert Pattinson was thrilling in spite of my premature doubts in his ability to fulfill the role. He is the most believable Batman character to date.

Aspects I appreciated about this movie: 1. No wasted screen time on foundational story lines. This movie assumes that you understand Bruce Wayne and his ascent into becoming Batman so the full movie directly relates to the present timeline; 2. They didn't make this a love-story between Batman and Catwoman (and good god Zoë Kravitz did the damn thing); 3. They made Batman fallible and more of a recluse. He truly gets rocked a few surprising times and it reminds you that Batman really is just a human who doesn't do everything perfectly. They also stay away from the flashy Bruce Wayne, in this movie he is rarely in public. And I LOVE the long-unkept-greasy-hair-dirty-face Bruce Wayne. It's very believable in tying his appearance to his emotional state throughout the movie; 4. Robert Pattinson stays away from settling into simply being "emo" Batman. He shows Bruce as an extremely emotional and fragile character without succumbing to the Twilight-Edward-Cullen type of brooding that (lets be honest) we were all afraid of for this movie; 5. GREAT casting for every single role. I bought into every casting choice for this movie; 6. Did I mention Zoë Kravitz? Wow. Her and Rob are electric together.

I enjoyed myself so much during this film, I didn't want it to end.
