  • Double the pain

This film is not awful - it's "god, how awful". Everyone can see now that the Olsen twins can't act a little bit. Not even that but the plot is always predictable, too. Girls don't like each other, girls want to go to town, girls get into trouble, girls meet cute boys, girls get out of trouble, girls start to like each other again, girls stay with cute boys - crap like that was shown dozens of times before. Not necessarily in that order but who cares. So it's a complete waste of time and money - except you were invited. Then it's just a waste of time.

So if you can avoid watching that film do so. For me the film is worth two out of ten, and just 'cause there are films which are even worse - which is hard to believe, 'cause this one sucks.

By the way: Oxford = London? Man, whoever made this up, check your knowledge in geography.

  • Gert Froebe as the good bad guy

Gert Froebe, internationally best known as "Goldfinger", the opponent of James Bond, is a safeblower, who was betrayed by his best friend. Now he's on the run and hides in a small village by impersonating a priest. There he needs all his skills to help a young widow and her son, cause Mr. Baumberger (Vogel), the "bad guy" of the village, wants to get the bailiffs onto her. The bond is locked in the safe, so you should get the idea. I like this movie very much. It's highly enjoyable and even after watching it several times I like the interaction of Froebe and Karl-Heinz Boehm (the sun of the famous conductor Karl Boehm). If you can watch it do so.

  • One man can make a difference

There's the ancient story of Orpheus who's going into the underworld to free his wife and who failed. Then there's another story of a man who's going into the hell on earth called Auschwitz to free some hundred women and their children and he succeeded. The difference between these two stories is that the last one is true. Now many people will ask why that man by the name of Oskar Schindler did that. I think I know the answer. There's another scene in this great movie in which you can see Schindler and one of his many lovers by his side riding horses. They are witnessing the liquidation of the ghetto from the top of a hill nearby and staring at the scenes in disbelief and horror. Many Jews are killed in front of their eyes (of course the murderers are not aware of them) but Schindler isn't looking away. He isn't turning his back to the victims until the woman by his side is telling him to leave. Sometimes the last century is called the century of genocide. These genocide were possible because millions and millions of people were looking to the other side, while their neighbors were carried away, beaten to death, shot. I'm not sure if I would do the same but if you watch this film what you really should do you will see that one man can truly make a difference if he's not looking away.

  • Don't expect Shakespeare

If you will ever be able to watch this show, watch it at what it is: the live version of a manga. Don't expect the depth of a stage play like "Romeo and Juliet" but something you might enjoy from the right point of view. So, if you enjoyed the manga or the anime version of Sailor Moon give this one a try and check it out.

  • Already a classic

The "LotR"-trilogy is already a classic like Star Wars (the original of course) or, if you are in the music business, "Der Ring des Nibelungen". Some people will enjoy it, others will avoid it, but you cannot say that it's bad 'cause it isn't. Don't get me wrong, the book is still better, it has more depth than the movie version, but you had to make six movies with six hours each to come close to what J.R.R. Tolkien imagined - and still people would complain. But Peter Jackson did a good job and I'm looking forward if he's rewarded by an Academy Award.

  • Better than the first movie which got 10 points

Well, what can I say about this movie, which hasn't been said many times before. Maybe just this: I voted 10 points for the first movie but the second is even better. Unfortunately I can't give more than 10 points to this. It's definitely worth watching. Enjoy it.

  • Better than J. F. K.

I saw this film for the very first time several years ago - and was hooked up in an instant. It is great and much better than J. F. K. cause you always have to think 'Can it happen to me? Can I become a murderer?' You cannot turn of the TV or your VCR without thinking about the plot and the end, which you should'nt miss under any circumstances.

  • One of a kind

Many classic novels, like Frankenstein, have been made into a film several times. There were other interpretations of the book possible. After seeing this film I cannot imagine another film version of the Ring-Saga. It is an impressive opus. I'm looking forward to part two and three.
